Wallpaper and trees

Like my new old wallpaper? I put it up one day last week when my husband was at work, thought I'd give him a bit of a surprise. He loved it. I could do anything to our house and he wouldn't care. I think we are meant for each other. Although he did draw the line when I wanted to get an old 70's lime green Combi Van i found on ebay, well he said i could get it but he wouldn't be seen driving it. So i decided it wasn't very practical for me to drive everywhere with him hiding under a blanket in the back. Lol.

First lot of buds and leaves on the mop tops that i planted at the start of winter, quite exciting. And while i was taking photos i took one of my shadow just cause i never had before.

Fabric and Buttons

More stuff for the market....I'm really enjoying making all these different things, it's been fun swapping from painting, to cards, to book and coaster covering, to hair pins and to making earings. I could never get bored.

Pretty

We finally got the net working again! It's been a week with no internet, and theres been heaps i could have been blogging about. So I will fill you in on the happenings over the next few days.

Today we went out bush to our favourite spot with the fam. It was so beautiful out there, we normally only go in winter, but spring is so nice. It was green and full of all kinds of blossoms, especially daisys. A few daisys in the lawn are not very pretty but when there is a whole feild of them they look amazing. The girls had fun making daisy chains, while the boys where busy finding kangaroo bones and teeth, which they found quite a collection of.

This week we had Missy's 4th birthday, our little princess is growing up. This is the jewelery box cake she requested, and i was very pleased it turned out exactly like the picture.

She would wear princess dresses everyday of the week if I let her.

Random

JT and I made some rumballs yesterday, Miss went to a friends house after church. I hadn't made them for years. Oh the childhood memories....I used to make them all the time when i was younger so i could lick the left overs of condensed milk and eat a heap of the mixture as i went.
Also my whole kitchen was brown, the cuboards (as you can see on the one open), the tiles and the benches, it was very dull. But with a tin of green paint and white tile paint I now love it. The tile paint is awesome, they look like brand new tiles. I used it in the bathroom too.

Last night after watching the X factor i had a go at using water colour paints. This is suppose to be me and my husbands feet. I have worn chucks for years and years, and he always said they weren't his style, but now they're in fashion he's totally into them.

Girls will even make something pretty in the sandpit...and boys will be boys.

More Paintings

Every spare hour i get i've been painting this week. Stocking up for the market. I just paint anything that pops into my head. And alot of stuff pops into my head. Sometimes at night i cant sleep, because i can't stop thinking...thinking about creative things. What i can paint, what i can make, money making schemes, and how creative God must be to have created the entire world and us crazy people. The russian doll i painted at about 1am one morning beacuse i was wide awake and just had to paint. It would be so great to be able to live without sleep, imagine all the things we could do!!

Water and Clay

The floods are the big thing happening around here. This was today in the next town about 15minutes from home. Goodbye drought.

The fathers day creations. Miss painted hers and JT painted the back of His, he had a very creative way of painting. He took the brush and screwed it into the paint like a screw driver....'screw screw screw' then hammered the paint on...'bang bang bang'.

At home

4 latest oppshop finds;
1. the wooden shelves which were apparently hand crafted by the dude that donated them
2. the lacey/doiley thingy which i could think of so many places to put. I love it.
3. the little pair of jars, i guess they could be used for spices, but they can sit there for now
4. the floral quilt (don't worry sisters i did wash it)

Today i was inspired to make some cards, I've never got into card making before. It was great fun, miniture pieces of art! My dad wants to go to the markets with me to sell canvas, was his idea to spend some quality time together, he's the best. I've had a stall once before, but have never gone back. So I'm stocking up on the handmade stuff to sell as well as the canvases.
