Fresh

Fresh white paint can do wonders to an old chair.
Warning: White paint can get a little addictive, it looks so clean and fresh you could paint every piece of furniture in the house, but later you might regret it, or you might not?

I found this plate at the oppshop a couple of days ago which is now in the pile with all the other mismatch plates that i love and use. I just have to bring out all the matching ones when my family come over, because they would be horrified at the thought of eating off an oppshop plate. My Mum and i are so close, but when it comes to style you couldn't get more opposite! It's great.

Colour

This is a painting i did a while ago of the kids looking out the kitchen window.
Done with acrylic paint, it's 1m tall.

JT and I put his books in colour order the other day, they didn't stay that way for very long though.

Funny Faces

Little Miss is such a character, shes always pulling faces.

For Sale

I am in love with this cute little log cabin thats for sale at the basin about 15minutes from where we live. I love everything about it....except the fact that it only has 2 bedrooms, which might get a little squeezy with the 5 of us. Then again, we could be like little house on the prairie. I could just imagine my patchwork curtains here and planting a heap of colourful flowers out the front.

Isn't the sink and cuboards so cool ... and the stone fire place.

Lol, not sure why this pic came out so tiny. This is the view from the back of the house, which has a paved area with a fire pit. If only it had more bedrooms....

The quilt is coming along...

Yesterday I made a fish cake for my fish obssessed brothers birthday

And the seedlings are going off, didn't take long for them to flower.

Sewing Bliss

My sister inlaw has gone on holidays up the coast for a few weeks....so jealous. Everyday i wish we lived near a beach. So anyway, I'm borrowing the family inheritance sewing machine off her while shes away. Im having lots of fun wipping things up so quickly! Usually I'm a hand sewing girl.

My other sister inlaw is hand sewing a square patchwork quilt, which looks so amazing, it has so many cool patches. I loved it so much i went home and started hand stiching one too. I don't love hand stiching as much as her so mine turned into a dolls size quilt, now I'm doing a human size one on the sewing machine. Now I've just gotta work out how to do the backing and quilting part.

Also this afternoon I made this plastic bag holder, the easiest thing ever to make. Our other one was falling apart and was but ugly, this one matches the rest of the kitchen.

The Market

So i finally went to the market on Saturday, I would love to say it was awesome and i made a killing. But no...not really, well at least i covered my sight fee. Sold a couple of cards and the hair pins were popular but thats about it. Alot of people looked and commented, so ill try again next month, closer to christmas.

A sunny spot

So heres the little outdoor space i gave a little painting and decorating to. Now the weathers nice we're out here all the time, love it. Especailly with a coffee, and a good book or mag.

My favourite thing is the old church mirror from a garage sale.

And this is our buget buggie that i found myself saying hello to the other day. Freak! I think it's the best kind of bird you can have, you don't have to feed it and it doesn't flap near you. One thing i can't stand is birds flapping near my head, everytime we go to the beach my husband throws bread or chips all around me so the seagulls flock around me and flutter past my head. Such a stirrer he is.

Naughty

This morning Miss came out wearing her pretty white dress. Which is also now orange!!
Not sure what to do with that girl, i have found her name written on the wall, on a kitchen chair, on her doona cover, on the table, as well as other random places and now a whole lot of names on her dress. It is one thing she can't blame on little brother because he can't write.

So I have been a harsh mum and taken 2 of her new favourite birthday presents off her for 2 days, because other forms of discipline haven't been working. This was a huge tragedy.
