Tea Parties

Tea parties are a big thing around here. It's one toy they have never got sick of.
JT is such a boy, usually playing with some kind of ball or bat or is outside building or fishing, well thats what he tells me. But Miss can convince just about anyone to do anything she wants them too. So JT is often playing tea parties and mums and dads. They're too cute.

I'm loving the new sandpit just as much as the kids, they play outside happily for alot longer now. Thanks to my little brother the perfectionist builder, it's the most well built sandpit around.

Simple Art

It's fun painting small simple canvases, that don't take too much time or thought, inbetween painting big artworks that take hours and hours. These are to sell at a shop, sip and pamper night at our church on friday night.

Patchwork & stuff

Today was my usual friday, dropped Missy off to kinder, then we met mum for a coffee and shopping. My 6 month old has decided she doesn't like prams, put her in the pram she screams, pick her up and shes happy. Its quite a workout trying to hold her while trying to push JT (2yr old) in the pram. I used some off my stash and bought this patchwork quilt set. I loved it and with 50% off i thought yep im buying it.

Last week i hand made this patchwork cushion, i enjoy abit of hand sewing every now and then, it's quite relaxing.

This is the latest addition to the dolls house. Made from a block, a worming tablet box (mmm nice), some paper, a tissue for the mattress, scrap material and lace, a lolly pop stick and a tea light candle bag.

And this afternoon i found a heap of photos of Missy's doll Ruby on the camera, she must have found the camera and decided to have a photo shoot. Cheeky girl.

Around our home

Oh i love the day when my real living mag comes in the mail and i can sit in the sun, with a coffee and read it from front to back, but today i had to sit on the heater duct instead because there was no sun coming through my lounge window at the usual time.

Last night my sister and i had a platter movie night. We've been into the movies we watched as kids, who doesn't like a good blast from the past. Last week we got the Mighty Ducks movies and last night we watched Honey I shrunk the kids, my husband got home from basketball in time for the second screening of Honey I blew up the kid. So corny, but we had a good laugh.

We once had a spare bedroom, then it was an office, and now it's my art studio. It's so great to have a space all set up to do art anytime, on the floor i have black and white checked piece of lino, so i can drip paint everywhere and it does even matter Above is my mood board and below is my piles of material.

Dolls House

My 3yr old daughter and i have been making a dolls house and hand making all the furniture and stuff out of card board boxes and scrap material, theres some cool stuff you can print off the net as well, such as the little book covers and the wall paper. And the oppshops great for little nick nacks.

It's our special thing we do together, she loves it! And especially when she gets to paint things.

This is Ben & Rosie's (the parents) room and below is Max and Bella's big toy basket.

Artwork & Oppshops

My two latest artworks, the top is a painting of my sisters on a chairlift at the Jamberoo Fun park. Go Jamberoo! They could also be models for a Jetstar add hey.

My oppshop buys from the past week. These coffee mugs seriously fit 4 normal cups of coffee, and then it is still not full to the brim, my husband tested it. So Gilmore girls.
And the retro foot stool takes relaxing to a whole new level, and what a bargain it was for just $2. Can you believe it.

Family Fun

Yesterday we went on a trip to Bendigo, I love all the old buildings and houses in Bendigo, it has so much character. And the kids love feeding the ducks at the big lake.
There's a shop on the main street called Dirt Cheap Books, nearly every book in store in $5 or less. I was excited to get some house and craft books so cheap!
